Duane Chapman: Dog the Bounty Hunter

 Duane Lee Chapman was born February 2, 1953. His mother, Barbara Chapman, was a minister and his father, Wesley Chapman, a welder. The oldest of 4 kids, Duane was big brother to 2 little sisters and one younger brother.

In 1976, Dog was an accessory to a murder during a botched drug deal. He was sitting in the car when when a gang member shot and killed a druig dealer. However, at the time there was no accessory to murder charge in Texas  so Dog was charged with murder and sentenced to 5 years in prison.

The day Dog was released was also the day he caught his first criminal. From there on in he made it his life work to help those he could.

On May 20, 2006, after several failed marriages, Dog married Beth Chapman. They had ben life partners for 16 years before finally tieing the knot.

Lyssa Chapman, who is Dog's daughter, was charged with harassment and criminal property damage following an arrest in Hawaii. Acording to compliants she was banging on residents doors and cussing while intoxicated. Police also state she kicked and broke a window and slapped an officers cell phone out of his hand.

It has been reported that Dog posted $11,000 bond Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Cage was in custody for public intoxication, domestic violence and desturbing the peace.

Dog the Bounty Hunter has been quoted as saying "I am a truly dedicated fan of Mr. Cage and will not be granting any interviews about my client as I wish to respect his privacy. I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show."
